Biography

Dr. Syed Ali Raza has been associated with Iqra University since September, 2011. At present, Dr. Raza is a Director Academics of Iqra University North Campus. He was also serving as Assistant Professor and Director Research and Publications and HOD Business Administration. He holds PhD in Finance from Northern University of Malaysia, Malaysia. His doctoral study investigated the role and influence of systemic banking crises and currency crises on capital inflows and growth activities of different income level countries. Dr. Raza has developed a new measure of systemic financial crises by combining the systemic banking crises and currency crises for a large panel of around 100 countries. He also has a Certificate of Management Accounting from Chartered Institute of Management Accountant, UK.

Dr. Raza brings an experience of more than 5 years from the corporate world by working at various management positions. His areas of interest include Quantitative Methods in Research, Financial Economics, Energy Economics, Tourism Economics and Corporate Finance. He has many international research publications in well reputed impact factor journals like Tourism Management, Energy Policy, Economic Modelling, Social Indicators Research, Current Issues in Tourism, Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, Quality and Quantity, International Migration, Total Quality management and Business Excellence, Journal of Business Economics and Management, Studies in Higher Education, Journal of Educational Computing Research, Journal of Islamic Marketing, Global Business and Economics Review, South Asia Economic Journal, Journal of Transnational Management, Transition Studies Review, Global Business Review, Journal of Chinese Economic and Foreign Trade Studies and others.

Dr. Raza is also a member of reviewer board of many international research journals which publish by renowned publishers like ScienceDirect/Elsevier, Springer, Taylor and Francis, SAGE, Emerald and others. He is also the Editor of “Journal of Finance and Economics Research”, which publishes blind peer reviewed articles in the field of Finance and Economics. Dr. Raza is also serving in editorial board of Journal of Management Sciences (Thomson Reuters Web of Science ESCI indexed journal) as an Associate Editor.
