Biography

“I (Dr. shazia dawood) have forged a distinguished career in the field of Biochemistry, marked by an unwavering commitment to education and groundbreaking research. Holding a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Karachi, with a focus on identifying novel inhibitors of tryptophan 2,3-dioxygenase and indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase, I significantly contributed to the understanding of biochemical pathways. With a wealth of teaching experience, including roles as an Assistant Professor at Iqra University and the Federal Urdu University of Arts Science and Technology, I have imparted knowledge in the domains of Pharmacy, Allied Health Sciences, and Biochemistry. The extensive research portfolio encompasses studies on neuropharmacology, the effects of antidepressants and alcohol on tryptophan metabolism, and molecular docking analyses. As prolific author, I have published research papers in reputable journals, addressing critical issues such as the association of chronic pain with mental health. Throughout the professional journey, active participation in conferences and workshops underscores a commitment to continuous learning and professional development, solidifying I standing as a respected figure in the academic and research community.”
