Dr. Salima Ahsan Tejani D/O Barkat Ali

“Dr. Salima Ahsan holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Psychology from the University of Karachi. She is a member of the Australian & New Zealand Mental Health Association and Pakistan Psychological Association. She has remained a member of the American Psychological Association. She is an HEC-approved supervisor, has presented at conferences, and has national and international publications in the Educational and Positive psychology field. She is a certified CBT practitioner and a certified Relationship Counselor.
She is currently a Head of the Department of Psychology at IQRA University, Karachi. Her vision as leading a psychology department is to empower individuals with an optimistic attitude towards life, contribute to advancing psychological knowledge through her continuous research engagements, educate future professionals with essential to advanced level education and field experience with skills development, and advocate for mental health on a wider scale.
She strongly believes in contributing to society and has done several projects with the Aga Khan Development Network in leadership positions in a volunteer capacity to serve the purpose.”
